Privacy Policy

This policy explains what RECON UGC ("we", "us") collects when you use https://reconugc.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a paid research tool, we do not sell your data, and payments are handled by Stripe so we never see your card number.

1. Data we collect

Account data. Your email address, used for magic-link sign-in and account management. We do not store passwords.

Billing data. Your subscription plan, plan status, and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.

Usage data. The collections and bookmarks you create inside the Service, and the niche preferences you pick during onboarding (stored in your browser and on our servers where applicable).

Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.

2. Public content in the Service

The video posts, statistics, and creator information shown inside RECON UGC are publicly available social media data collected for market-research purposes. This policy covers your data as a customer, not that public content.

3. How we use your data

• To sign you in and keep your session working.
• To bill your subscription and manage your plan.
• To store your collections, bookmarks, and preferences.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

4. Third parties we share data with

Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Supabase: authentication infrastructure (your email and session tokens).

Analytics: none. We currently run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Service.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you cancel, your collections and preferences remain so you can come back; if you want them deleted, email us and we will delete your account data within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by emailing info@reconugc.com.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage strictly for authentication (keeping you signed in) and product preferences (such as your chosen niches). No advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date above.
